Preschool Letter Writing Practice

One of our favorite writing center activities is our white board letter writing. I got 26 popsicle sticks and wrote all of the alphabet letters on them. Then my preschool friends take turns choosing sticks out of a cup and writing the letter they chose on the white board.

This cute friend got on a roll and wrote all 26 letters!

Letter Parking Lot

A great way to review letter names and sounds is to create a parking lot. Draw parking spaces on a paper and write the letters you'd like your child to practice in the spaces. To play the game, provide your munchkin with a pile of hot wheels and call out a letter name. Your cutie "drives" the car to the correct letter parking spot and you call out the next one. When the parking lot is full, clear the cars off and try it again. 

Instead of calling out letter names you could play a variation of the game by calling out letter sounds for your child to park the cars on. Or for readers, you could make a sight word parking lot.

This game is so fun, the kids never wanted to leave the letter center!

One of our friends brought a great invention for show and tell that we wanted to share! It's a spray that she sprays on at bedtime to keep the bad dreams away. Genius!

Preschool Halloween Party

We had a fun Halloween party with a cowgirl, a mermaid, a witch, iron man, dearth vader, a ladybug, a kitty, rapunzel, and an elephant who did not want to pose for a picture. It was a great day!

We made these cute fishes with our footprints today. We sure giggled when Miss Megan painted on the orange paint. We have the funniest feet!!!
